What is "Community-Based Rehabilitation" (CBR)?

CBR is one of the training programs for people with disabilities offered by the government through the Department of Social Welfare. The program was initially pioneered by the World Health Organization (WHO). Community-Based Rehabilitation center was first implemented in Sabah in 1995 and started in Kudat Division. Currently, there are 37 center throughout Sabah.The Labuan Community Rehabilitation Organization was established in May 1996 and went into operation in August 1998. The number of trainees employed here is 42, of which there are six who include supervisors and general assistants.

1. An unsuccessful campaign which mean we are not reach the target amount for fund raising. The organizer of Labuan community-based rehabilitation Center really hopes to produce a better learning environment for the disable learning generation. With a good study environment, it helps for the physical and mental of the special generation.

2. A successful campaign may bring a problem with discontinued support of the campaign as we reach the target amount. We hope that more donator will continued support the campaign so that more fund can raise to help this special generation. With more fund, we can do more for their future.
